Nothing Can Now Stop Eagles from Brazil, Says Emenike

Articles *Dedicates his two goals to family, motherless babies After putting Nigeria one foot in Brazil already for the 2014 World Cup with two brilliant goals, Emmanuel Emenike insisted last night that nothing can now stop Super Eagles cruise to their fifth Mundial appearance. The Fenerbahce point-man was clinical in rescuing Nigeria in the 67th minute with his equaliser after the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia had taken the lead in the 57th minutes through Behailu Asefa. Emenike took on the entire Ethiopia defence before he fired past the goalkeeper. With the clock ticking to final whistle, Ethiopia’s Aynalem Haile gifted Nigeria with the winner when he brought down Emenike who was goal bound in the box. The resultant penalty by Emenike totally deflated whatever was left of the hosts who filled the Addis Ababa Stadium with their yellow and green jersies.
